Modern Soccer Parent 101: End of the Year Coach Gifts

Soccer Manager

At the end of every season, it seems like the coaches have put in a lot effort, that is not commensurate with their pay. Teams often band together and provide the coach with a little extra financial compensation at the end of the year. Cash is king, there is no doubt, but if your team does not like to give cash to the coach, think about some of these items, as a Coach is almost always in need of them. You can support this blog at no cost to yourself by clicking any of the images/amazon product links in any story on the site.

Backpack

Any of these three are great for the coach. They put most of their stuff right in there and also clip a little stool on the the pack. Coaches are always carrying so much stuff, getting items on the back is a big benefit.

Stool

If the coach is just doing one game during a day, there is no time to sit, but if you are at a tournament and don’t want to leave between games, sitting down is key. But having a big chair, just does not make much sense. A small collapsable stool that can be connected to the coach’s backpack is very beneficial.

Mini-Cones

Switching to Mini-cones has been a big space and weight saver. So if your coach does not have these, do them a favor and get them a few sets! I would not go with the cheap ones, kids step on them once and they are broken. The higher quality cones are worth it. The other great item like this are these Forza discs – both sizes, they are great as they hold their spot on the field and don’t change the trajectory of the ball.

Ball Pump

Every coach has had that situation, where you left your pump in another bag…. So extra ball pumps are just something every coach needs. The last thing a coach want to stress about is trying to find a pump to inflate the balls. So a battery small portable pumps is a key for any coach.

Pennie Bag

Let’s face it – soccer pennies are everywhere and the coaches need some bags to keep track of them. this simple mesh bag is the way to go.

Dry Erase Markers and Sharpies

Dry erase markers are vitally important to pre-game and half time talks. Unfortunately these seem to have legs. of their own and they are always walking off. So having a couple of extra markers in the bag is key. Sharpies are just one of those things that coaches should always have in their kit as well.

whatever you decide to get your coach it will be much appreciated, there is no doubt about that and you just can’t go wrong with the cash, as it is still the king. If you found this helpful then:
