Soccer Parent 101: How to Relieve Game Day Stress

The simple answer is preparation.

Let’s face it, we have all been there, you are trying to get out the door and your player can’t find their Sock, Jersey, Cleats, you name it.  Part of youth sports is teaching some accountability to your player, but it can be hard to implement that lesson on the morning of game day.  The simple solution is to have the player prepared the night before, sounds simple but life is busy, so this simple tool can really help out.

I am a big fan of checklists and I have attached one here that  you can print out, give to your player and they can check their items off the list the night before.

If you can get your player to pack the night before, you  will have much less stress on game day!

If you have a morning game, think about your breakfast plan the night before as a proper breakfast can make all the difference.
